A lucky basketball fan gets a head start on Christmas morning as he wins $25,000 on a half-court shot during an Indiana Pacers game.
On Saturday night, a fan of the Indiana Pacers won $25,000 with a spectacular half-court shot, making Christmas early for him.
The fan had an opportunity to win some additional holiday cash after the first quarter of the Pacers’ 117-110 loss against the Orlando Magic.
Before taking a little run up, he appeared entirely unconcerned as he bounced the ball once.
After that, the supporter let go a spectacular jump shot that soared through the air and past the basket, untouched by the backboard.
The area surrounding the Gainbridge Fieldhouse thereafter descended into chaos.The fan sprinted out to celebrate, giving high-fives to the spectators at courtside, when he was surrounded by Pacers venue employees.
Even more gratifying for the spectators was the fact that he orchestrated Tyrese Haliburton’s skipping celebration.The night came to a disappointing close for Pacers fans as the Orlando Magic ended a four-game skid as Paolo Banchero scored 34 points.
On the field, Banchero was 11 for 20 while at the charity stripe, he was 12 for 16. The Magic came up with 24 points thanks to Franz Wagner.For the Pacers, Haliburton contributed 14 assists and 29 points. The scoring was split between Myles Turner (24 points) and Buddy Hield (20 points).
It was clear that Haliburton was dissatisfied with his own performance.
‘I’ve been remiss for the past seven days,’ he confessed.
“I’ve been doing more harm than good for the team.”
