Fans are familiar with playing as Messi in soccer games, from Inter Miami CF, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona to the Argentina national team. However, with the release of two new Messi ‘skins’ in Fortnite on Friday, gamers will have the chance to play as Messi , rather than just control his team.

Fortnite recently delighted fans with a short four-word announcement ahead of the release of new content on Friday evening. The game took to its social media channels with a video trailer, revealing the look of two new Messi skins. “Experience the legend ,” the announcement read in both English and Spanish.

As shown in the trailer, Fortnite will be releasing two different Messi skins in the Item Shop. One of them is the Lionel Messi Outfit, which includes the Stealth Lion Messi and Gold Lion Messi variants, as seen in the video. The other skin is the Streetwear Spark Messi Outfit, which features Messi wearing a hoodie and jeans.

According to information from The Mirror, these skins will cost 2,300 V-Bucks (in-game virtual currency). To own the entire Messi pack, gamers need to spend 2,800 V-Bucks, equivalent to 22.99 USD.

The Stealth Lion Messi version uses colors and images related to the Argentine flag and the Albiceleste kit, while the streetwear version features the signature colors of Messi’s current team, Inter Miami, with a striking pink and black color scheme.

Inside the Messi pack, there are also two signature emoticons, inspired by a popular meme from an interview with the Argentine superstar.
