Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had a great game last night, defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-24 and remaining undefeated this season with an 8-0 run. It’s clear that the other football players are too intimidated by Patrick’s 3-year-old daughter Sterling, who he shares with wife Brittany Mahomes, to make any game-winning moves against her dad!
Brittany captioned a sweet moment on video where Sterling shared a fierce message to her dad’s opponents. “What’s so rude of them?” Brittany asks her eldest daughter in the video on her Instagram story on Monday.

“If they score a touchdown … If they take the ball from daddy and score a touchdown by theirselves, that means they’re so rude,” Sterling responds. She’s ready for bed in blue firetruck pajamas as she plays with a yellow princess Belle dress. She says it so matter-of-factly, and I love it. Don’t mess with her daddy, or you’ll have miss Sterling to answer to!
“Aww, yeah,” Brittany answers, and it’s a miracle she could keep it together without laughing. (She did hint at her true feelings by adding five cry-laughing emojis to the video.) If you missed it, PEOPLE has a screenshot HERE.
Although Sterling didn’t appear to attend Monday night’s game, she did stay up long enough to hear her dad’s message for her and her younger brother Bronze, 23 months. Before his Oct. 7 game, Mahomes gave a shout-out to Sterling during an interview with ESPN. “I wanted to tell my daughter Sterling hey!” he says, while waving. “Hey Sterling, uh, go to bed!” he says with a laugh.
Before Monday’s game on Nov. 4, he had another message. “I’ll say goodnight to Bronze this time, uh, and I’ll try to score you a touchdown,” he says with a laugh. Aww!
ESPN shared clips of the two shout-outs on Instagram, captioning it, “pregame shoutout is a must ️.”
Soon, Patrick will get to shout-out his third 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 with Brittany on TV. The First Family of Football revealed they are expecting 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 number 3 back in July, where they shared sweet family photos that included a ᵴtriƥ of sonogram photos.
“Round three, here we come 🤍,” the Kansas City Current Co-Owner captioned the post. Being 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 into a sports-focused family like this, 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 number three will be quickly initiated into the athletic world. Then Patrick will have three loyal fans defending him at home!
