Kevin De Bruyne has no qualms about placing Eden Hazard among the most talented players in modern football history. According to the Man City midfielder, only Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar possess superior technique and talent than Hazard.
“Eden is really good. He can be in the top five most talented players in the world. His dribbling, his confidence and the way he plays the ball are all very special,” De Bruyne shared on Sky Sports.
Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in 2012 for £32 million and quickly established himself in the Premier League, scoring over 100 goals and winning six major trophies, including two Premier League titles and two Europa Leagues.
Not only a goal machine, Hazard is also remembered as one of the best dribblers in the history of the tournament. His technical handling, explosive speed and ability to create breakthroughs make every defense wary.
In 2019, Hazard moved to Real Madrid with the dream of conquering La Liga, but constant injuries limited him to only 76 appearances in 4 seasons. Failing to meet expectations, Hazard decided to retire at the age of 32.

De Bruyne revealed he still keeps in touch with his former team-mate and is happy to see Hazard enjoying life away from the pitch.
Although his career ended in regret, what Hazard contributed to Chelsea, the Premier League and the Belgian national team is undeniable. With 126 caps for the national team, Hazard is a symbol of the golden generation of Belgian football.
Kevin De Bruyne’s tribute once again affirmed Hazard’s position in football history. Even though he has retired, his name will always shine in the hearts of fans!
