Leaving Man City, coach Pep Guardiola will join an unexpected destination?

According to former US star – Taylor Twellman, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola may land in the MLS in the future.

Coach Pep Guardiola led Man City to the Champions League title for the first time and completed a historic treble. The Spaniard has clearly cemented his name on the list of the greatest coaches. But after having won all he could at Man City, former US player Taylor Twellman thought a new challenge might be beckoning from across the ocean for Pep. Accordingly, New York City FC is considered a potential destination for the 52-year-old strategist.

Pep Guardiola ấn định ngày chia tay Man City

Taylor Twellman wrote on Twitter: “Is anyone surprised when New York City FC open their new stadium…..Pep will be their manager?! Not me.”

Despite tasting Champions League glory for the first time since 2011, it has been reported that Pep Guardiola has no intention of leaving Man City in such high spirits, the Spaniard is said to be considering 2 remaining years of his current contract. Meanwhile, New York City FC’s stadium is expected to open before the 2027 MLS season, meaning Pep Guardiola may have time to start a new challenge before that switch.

Any move to the MLS by Pep Guardiola will be partly attributed to Inter Miami’s successful recruitment of Leo Messi. The Argentine player signed a contract with the American Eastern team and created an unprecedented fever in the US.
