Lionel Messi Sends Message to Cole Palmer After Messi vs Ronaldo Debate Decision

Lionel Messi has responded to young talent Cole Palmer, who recently weighed in on the eternal Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo debate. Palmer, who was awarded the PFA Young Player of the Year, chose the Argentine star over the Portuguese icon, stating his preference for the Argentina World Cup winner.

During an interview with GOAL at the awards ceremony, Palmer was confronted with the difficult question that has divided fans and pundits for years: Who is the greatest of all time? Without hesitation, the 22-year-old striker opted for Messi, making clear his admiration for the Inter Miami captain. Palmer also confidently added that if his life was at stake, he would take the crucial penalty himself.

Following this statement, Messi was quick to send a message of thanks and support to Palmer. “It is an honour to hear such kind words from a player as talented as Cole. I have seen him grow as a footballer, and I believe he has a great future ahead of him. It doesn’t matter who your idol is, the most important thing is to work hard and always give your best at every opportunity you get. I am sure we will see great things from him in the coming years,” said Messi.

Meanwhile, Palmer, after his successful night in London, is preparing to return to Chelsea, where they will face Wolverhampton in the Premier League this weekend. Having made a difficult start after losing 2-0 to Manchester City, the Blues will be looking to redeem themselves and pick up points in the game in the Midlands.

This exchange between Messi and Palmer not only highlights the mutual respect between players from different generations, but also adds a new chapter to the never-ending debate about who is really the best in world football.
