After the summer break, Kylian Mbappe has returned to training with his teammates at PSG’s new training center on July 17th. Speculations surrounding Mbappe’s potential departure continue to be a hot topic lately. The French player has firmly stated that he will stay at PSG until the end of his contract, while the club is eager to offload him this summer.
Despite contract controversies, Mbappe remains highly professional during training. Following the summer break, he rejoined his teammates for training at PSG. On July 17th, the official website of the French club posted images of Mbappe at their training center.
This was also the first time the forward met directly with PSG’s newly appointed coach, Luis Enrique, at the club. Prior to this, while the former Barca coach officially assumed his role at PSG, Mbappe was on vacation.
Mbappe is among the group of PSG players who reported back for training late this summer. Earlier, players like Neymar, Verratti, and Carlos Soler were already present and training for about a week. New signings like Lee Kang In and Lucas Hernandez also joined the team early for training.
On his first day back training with PSG, Mbappe mainly focused on gym workouts without the ball. Despite the ongoing contract discussions, the 1998-born forward appeared relaxed and at ease.
PSG will kick off their summer preseason campaign with a match against a lower division team, Le Havre, on July 21st. Afterward, the team will travel to Asia for two stops in Saudi Arabia and Japan.
