When mentioning Georgina Rodriguez, we cannot ignore the documentary “Soy Georgina” (I am Georgina) broadcast on Netflix. In the second part of the film, Ronaldo’s girlfriend, the striker who currently plays for Al Nassr club in Saudi Arabia, also mentioned some things about her family such as her difficult childhood in Jaca, Spain because of money or always getting along with her sister Ivana.
But what everyone wants to know more about her mother Ana Maria Hernandez, Georgina absolutely does not mention. In fact, Georgina always avoids, if not allergic, whenever someone asks about her mother. It should be clarified that Jorge Rodriguez, Georgina’s biological father, was born in Avellaneda, a suburb of Buenos Aires (Argentina). He set foot in Spain in 1984 with the dream of finding a more prosperous future. Jorge married a woman named Maria Jesus shortly after arriving in Spain and had his first daughter Patricia Estela born in 1987.
After his first marriage broke down, Jorge moved to Jaca (Huesca) and met Ana Maria Hernandez, who later became Jorge’s wife and had two daughters, Georgina and Ivana. Notably, Rosario, a friend of Georgina’s mother, loudly attacked her, saying that the documentary was a great production. But what was even more shocking and horrifying was that Rosario accused Georgina’s mother of prostitution. According to Rosario, before knowing Jorge, Georgina’s mother “never stopped doing it” by “catching the signal” with prostitutes at a nightclub in Jaca. For that reason, Georgina always tried to cover up everything about her mother. The reason Georgina did not tell everything about her family’s past was because she was afraid of being rejected by Ronaldo.
Things got even more noisy when two Spanish TV channels, Antena 3 and Telecinco, mentioned the past of Georgina Rodríguez and her mother, through the sharing of Rosario. Therefore, CR7’s girlfriend had to file a lawsuit. However, Georgina Rodriguez later lost the case.
Not accepting the court’s decision, Georgina Rodriguez recently contacted a prestigious law firm in Spain to appeal to a higher court. “Georgina Rodríguez is ready to do anything to protect her mother’s honor,” a source close to Georgina shared. “After losing a lawsuit against two Spanish TV channels for mentioning her mother’s dark past, Gio appealed to a higher court.” Meanwhile, Georgina also stated: “Say what you want about me. My mother is not a celebrity, she does not appear anywhere, not even in my documentary. Please respect her privacy.”
