The New Heights podcast shared on their social media platforms that Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford will be on Wednesday’s edition of the show.

“He was the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft. Two-time Pro Bowler, Super Bowl champion, and still the quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams, please welcome Matthew Stafford,” Jason said in a teased X clip of the upcoming podcast.

“That’s a hell of an intro,” Stafford then said.

Kelce’s intro referred to the fact that Stafford recently agreed to a restructured contract extension with the Rams that will keep him in Los Angeles for the 2025 season.

The 37-year-old has played with the Rams for the last four seasons, but the team reportedly allowed him to talk with the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders about his value before the extension.

In the same teaser clip, Stafford addressed his situation and opened up after “getting the elephant out of the room.

“That was a little nerve-wracking there, for a little bit,” he told the Kelce brothers.

Stafford ended up taking less than he would’ve gotten at another destination.

Last season, Stafford posted 20 passing touchdowns and 3,762 yards while also completing 65.8 percent of his passes.

He led the Rams to a Super Bowl title in 2022.

Stafford is now among a laundry list of big guests on the New Heights podcast this year.

The guests include Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Caitlin Clark, and Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, among others.

Stafford wasn’t the only NFL star future that was uncertain.

The 35-year-old Travis Kelce announced his return to play in his 13th career NFL season after contemplating retirement.

He wasn’t pleased with his 2024 season, which saw him catch a career-low in touchdowns (3).

And Kelce and the Chiefs are coming off a disastrous 2025 Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

With the new league year set for Wednesday, Kelce will earn an $11.5 million bonus later this week.

“That was kinda the one I had to juggle right there,” Travis said to Jason after being asked why he would return to play in the NFL during last week’s edition of New Heights.

“The biggest thing is that I love playing the game of football. I love playing.
