Businessman Jorge Mas went to Paris to attend the Golden Ball awards ceremony with the club’s other co-owner, David Beckham. It was Beckham who gave the Golden Ball to Messi on stage.

Sharing during the ceremony, Beckham said: “It’s special and proud to say that Messi is an Inter Miami player and lives in the beautiful city of Miami. He will celebrate this title with his teammates and family in its own way.
