Yamal surpasses Ronaldo in scoring and assisting efficiency after the first 100 matches

Lamine Yamal just played his 21st match of the 2024-2025 season for Barcelona on February 18 when the team beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0.

Thus, Yamal reached the milestone of 100 appearances at professional level before turning 18 years old (17 years 219 days) with remarkable development.

For comparison, Ronaldo only reached this milestone when he was 19 years and 254 days old. In addition, Yamal is also superior to other superstars such as Messi (20 years, 105 days old) and Mbappe (19 years, 56 days old).

Also compared to Ronaldo, Yamal has scored more goals and had more assists in his first 100 professional matches. Specifically, Yamal scored 21 goals and had 30 assists for Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo only scored 17 goals and had 19 assists in his first 100 matches.

In the past, many young players were expected to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but most of them could not handle the immense pressure. However, Yamal seems to be the exception.

Regarding Yamal’s potential, Ronaldo once praised Barcelona’s young talent: “I see he has great potential and outstanding talent. But he needs luck because he is very young. Hopefully he doesn’t have physical problems.

Lamine is in a very good environment. The Spanish team is very strong and I think he has a lot of potential. But we will see what the future holds. I think he will succeed and become one of the best players of this new generation.

Yamal’s impressive early performances won’t guarantee a career on par with Ronaldo’s, but the early signs are promising.
